Scality, the Dubai Airport Freezone Authority’s (Dafza) innovative startup program, granted three start-up licenses to the champions of the Gitex YouthX program’s competition.
What Sclaity is?
Scality is a global company in California that develops the storage of software-defined objects.
Furthermore, Scality enables entrepreneurs to pay per employee each month via a pay as you grow approach. Thus they are able to increase their staff in a flexible and effective manner.
The program also allows start-ups to make use of services provided by world-class partners as well as get access to Dafza’s network of over 1,800 global corporations, including SMEs.
This award occurred as part of Scality’s participation in the Gitex Future Stars event. The event was held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the 41st edition of Gitex Technology Week.
Most importantly, this step highlights Scality and Dafza’s commitment to fostering the growth of technological start-ups at the worldwide level.
The program’s goal is to assist these enterprises in establishing and growing their businesses in the region. On the other hand, Scality tries to encourage the spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship among young people.
The program’s involvement in Gitex Future Stars and Gitex Technology Week aims to put focus on the program’s flexible approach for establishing firms. Moreover, the company was created expressly for tech enterprises to help them expand.
Senior Investment Advisor at Dafza and Chairman of Scality, Hassan Waheed said:
“Our participation aims to attract entrepreneurs and tech companies who seek to set up businesses in the emirate of Dubai. Also, we want to and contribute to innovation, technology, science, and its digital economy. Scality aims to support the Gitex YouthX competition by offering free licenses for start-ups who presented innovative and creative concepts during their participation.”
